The Presentation in the Temple
What Happens
Mary and Joseph bring the infant Jesus to the Temple to present him to the Lord. The prophet Simeon recognizes Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah and foretells Mary's suffering.
What It Teaches Us
Faithfully following God's law and trusting His promises leads to encountering Christ. Simeon waited his whole life and was rewarded with seeing the Savior.
